The Easter Bunny has visited TH Clements early this year, however rather than searching for hidden chocolate eggs, we are focusing on planting potatoes. We aim to plant all our potatoes in a four-week window if possible. Cauliflower is in full flight and we expect to harvest over 600,000 heads this week. That is 1 cauliflower for every 100 people in the UK. With help from the excellent Spring weather, plants that have already been planted over the last few weeks are growing fast under polyethene. These plants should hopefully be ready to start harvesting by the end of May. Purple Sprouting Broccoli (PSB) is in season and it is at its best this time of year but more importantly, it’s in great supply too! PSB is great as a side dish to accompany most meals however it also goes well in salads, stir-fries and can be added to pasta dishes too. Have a happy and healthy Easter!!! Follow @THClements1966
