Hard to believe that just 2 weeks ago, we were at the end of a week-long late September heatwave. We all enjoyed the sun, but our harvest teams would not be able to lift the spuds if the ground was too hard and dry.
Not wanting to rely on the old rain-dance, even if the team did look especially fetching doing a jig in the fields, we started setting up our irrigators for the Potato harvest.
That worked! The heavens opened and in the past week 58mm of rain has fallen.

That is quite enough now though, some nice fresh Autumn weather would be perfect now. Dry but cool, no frosts please!

We have good availability on all products now, especially Broccoli and Cauliflower which are exceptionally good right now.
Our harvesting teams can be seen in the wet squelchy fields throughout the region right now, busy harvesting that lovely fresh Lincolnshire grown produce.
We are however starting to see the end of the UK Broccoli season slowly edge towards us, with around 6 more weeks of harvesting left.

Whilst we are planning next year's crops, our big tractors are still busy working land, ensuring it is prepared for next year.
